Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport semi trucks and across various routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and other essential systems to ensure roadworthiness
- Hook and unhook tankers, trailers and decks
- Maintain accurate documentation of truck pickups, and vehicle logs to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Conduct basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when minor issues arise during shifts to minimize downtime
- Communicate effectively with the Boss, dispatchers,



coworkers and staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical challenges
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and transportation
- Knowledge of hook up procedures and securement techniques
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the road
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and customer service
- Flexibility to work part-time hours with availability during truck switch times
