Class One Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Hauler

Overview

Ruby Rock Group is seeking an experienced Class 1 Truck Driver as a Heavy Equipment Hauler for the 2026 construction season. We take pride in operating a well-maintained, newer high-end fleet of trucks and equipment, and we are looking for individuals who share the same standards of professionalism, safety, and care for equipment.

Applicants must have experience as a Heavy Equipment Hauler in Alberta and is responsible for safely transporting, loading, securing, and unloading heavy machinery across job sites. Having experience operating combinations such as Truck & Pup, End Dumps, Wagons, and Live Bottom Trailers is considered a strong asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Possess a valid class 1 driver’s license and have a clean driver’s abstract.
- Experience as a heavy equipment hauler
- Be over 25 years old
- Possess a valid airbrakes certificate
- Detail oriented and organized
- Flexible to work some weekends
- Knowledge of construction hauling of asphalt or gravel

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES




- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer
- Load, secure, and unload heavy equipment, ensuring safety of the load
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform minor maintenance when required
- Operate equipment safely and in compliance with all road laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, foremen, asphalt plants, gravel pits, and subcontractors
- Assist with additional duties as assigned

SAFETY
- Wear required PPE including but not limited to hard hats, gloves, reflective vests, hearing and eye protection and protective footwear
