Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and reliable Class 5 drivers to operate half-ton trucks, delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations. This role offers an exciting chance for individuals passionate about driving and physical work, with a focus on timely deliveries and excellent customer service. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for handling deliveries with precision, ensuring all cargo is transported securely and in accordance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate half-ton trucks equipped for local or regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting to secure items properly in the truck
- Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery receipts




- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly
- Ensure cargo is secured correctly to prevent damage during transit

Skills

- Proven experience in driving Class 5 vehicles, especially half-ton trucks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance basics
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules consistently
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Attention to detail for accurate documentation and vehicle inspections
