We’re looking for someone who can work independently while also taking direction efficiently from co‑workers and supervisors.

This role is a 13‑month contract (maternity leave coverage). The schedule is part‑time for most of the year, with a full‑time schedule during peak season. This is a fully on-site position. During peak season, the role may include supporting other areas of the operation, such as gift basket assembly and production, when cleaning duties are complete or additional operational support is required.

Schedule Structure

January – September (Part‑Time)

- 16-24 hours per week
- Set weekly schedule (to be confirmed with management)

October – December (Peak Season)

- Full‑time hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Hybrid role: on‑site work required, with some flexibility depending on operational needs
- Weekend availability may be required during high‑volume periods

Responsibilities

- Follow the established cleaning schedule to ensure all assigned areas of the facility are maintained to company standards throughout each shift.
- Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, wet mopping, and vacuuming in the front entrance, office spaces, hallways, and all common areas.
- Sanitize high‑touch surfaces such as desks, cabinets, counters, phones, door handles, and other hard surfaces to support workplace hygiene and reduce contamination risks.
- Clean, disinfect, and restock office and warehouse washrooms, ensuring supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizers are replenished.
- Maintain cleanliness in the staff kitchen, including wiping surfaces,



cleaning sinks, and ensuring garbage and recycling are properly sorted and removed.
- Complete, sign, and submit daily cleaning logs and checklists, ensuring all tasks are documented accurately and on time for compliance and quality control.
- Monitor and report maintenance or safety concerns, such as spills, equipment issues, or supply shortages, to supervisors promptly.
- Follow workflow instructions provided by Management and the HR Team, ensuring all cleaning duties are completed efficiently and according to expectations.
- Wear required PPE, including a hair restraint and mask, when working in GDP‑designated areas to comply with safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure all work adheres to company safety standards, health regulations, and applicable codes and policies.
- Provide operational support to other departments when required, including gift basket assembly, production-line tasks, packing, and other general duties when cleaning responsibilities are complete or additional support is needed.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of cleaning experience considered an asset (office, warehouse, or commercial environment preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and comfort performing hands‑on cleaning tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Organized and efficient, with a strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current processes, schedules, and seasonal demands
- Ability to stand for up to 5.5 hours at a time
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs continuously
- Strong communication skills when interacting with staff and supervisors
- Ability to follow safety procedures, cleaning protocols, and documentation requirements

Job Type: Contract Pay: From $19.00 per hour
