ROAR in Tofino seeks a dedicated full-time 1st Cook with breakfast experience. Bring your culinary creativity to a dynamic live fire kitchen that values team spirit and innovation.
In this role, you will ensure smooth kitchen operations while leading and training fellow team members. Your culinary skills are vital for maintaining food quality, portion control, and outstanding plate presentation. You will also collaborate with the head Chef to introduce new menu items, ensuring a high-energy, fun setting for staff and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee food quality and adherence to recipes
• Collaborate with head Chef for menu innovation
• Train new staff and improve kitchen processes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
• Ensure food is served at correct temperatures
Requirements:
• 3-5 years culinary experience in restaurants
• Breakfast availability from 7 AM onwards
• Creative, detail-oriented problem-solving skills
• Food Safe BC certification required
• Ability to adapt to flexible shift requirements
