Job Overview

Travois Holdings Ltd. is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Educator to support our teams at Mayfair Care Centre and Glamorgan Care Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, clinical leadership, and staff development. The Clinical Educator will work across both sites to strengthen staff competency, promote evidence-informed practice, support quality improvement, and ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, person-centred care.

Duties

- Develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate the annual education and staff development program across both sites.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and department-specific onboarding.
- Provide clinical education, coaching, mentoring, and competency development for nursing, health care aides, and other staff.
- Identify learning needs and develop education in response to practice gaps, quality indicators, incidents, legislative changes, new equipment, policies, and clinical standards.
- Promote evidence-informed practice, person-centred care, resident safety, and quality improvement.
- Support education related to geriatrics, dementia care, responsive behaviours, medication safety, falls prevention, wound care, infection prevention, emergency response, other identified needs, compliance to CCHSS.
- Maintain education, attendance, and competency records and support accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement, Infection Prevention & Control, Occupational Health & Safety, and other committees as required.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Lead, managers, interdisciplinary teams, and community partners.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, professional development, accountability, and continuous learning.




- Travel between Mayfair Care Centre and Glamorgan Care Centre as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Nursing (BN/BScN)
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Alberta and in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Minimum three (3) years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in continuing care, long-term care, geriatrics, medicine, mental health, or complex care.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical education, staff development, orientation, coaching, or mentoring.
- Strong knowledge of person-centred care and evidence-informed practice.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across two sites
- Certificate in Adult Education with adult education experience an asset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required for travel between sites
- Computer literacy skills e.g. MS Office, Connect Care, PointClickCare, SurgeLearning
- Certificate in Adult Education with adult education experience an asset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required for travel between sites

Assets
- Certificate or education in Adult Education.
- Previous Clinical Educator or Staff Development experience.
- Experience with quality improvement, change management, Infection Prevention & Control, or Occupational Health & Safety.




- Specialty education or certification in gerontology, dementia, wound care, palliative care, mental health, or rehabilitation.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience.

Schedule Primary Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0900-1700

The position is primarily daytime, with occasional flexibility required to support staff education and operational needs across different shifts.

Weekend/on call: Rotation basis

Pay: $49.00-$50.00 per hour
