Reporting to the Director – Community Programs, the Clinical Manager functions according to the Accountability Statement for Clinical Managers. In a manner consistent with the vision, values and strategic goals of Hamilton Health Sciences, the Clinical Manager is accountable for managing all activities related to safe, efficient patient care delivery at the unit level.

Manager is responsible for day-to-day issues related to staffing and care delivery.

Manager is accountable for integrating into their clinical area(s) the organization’s practice standards related to the following domains: quality patient care, fiscal management, human resource management, communications, education and research, and strategic planning.

- Current Registration with a recognized Regulated Health Discipline College in Ontario
- Baccalaureate Degree within a health profession, or a combination of other relevant academic background
- Minimum of 3 years recent relevant leadership experience within the acute care clinical setting
- Formal continuing education in Project Management preferred
- Skill in supporting and mentoring staff to enhance knowledge skill and judgment within their practice
- Demonstrated leadership and co-ordination skills in a rapid paced environment
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in the delivery of patient care services
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, team-building, and ability to initiate, model and support change in a constructive manner
- Demonstrated advanced critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge to access and utilize hospital resources
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous education and lifelong learning
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision and values of HHS and WLMH
