OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Production & Maintenance Manager, The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts used in the tire manufacturing process. This is a hands-on role that plays a key part in our production line, ensuring high-quality output in a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace.

RESPONSABILITIES

- Review work orders and to determine machining operations.

- Set up and operate machine tools to perform repetitive machining operations such as milling, drilling, boring, or other machining operations.

- Check the dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments.

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.

- Load and position proper material on to CNC.

- Select proper tooling and programs as per job requirements on all machines.

- Monitor material to ensure quality standards are met.

- Properly label and organize parts to ensure production flow.

- Assist other operations departments when in the slow season and workload is low.

- Communicate with management and coworkers to achieve goals.

- Maintain and clean machinery and workspace.

- Follow shop safety standards at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Vocational training in machining.

- Minimum of three years of experience in a related field.

- Knowledge of 3 axis vertical CNC mills.

- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers and measuring instruments to examine parts adequately.

- Excellent math and computer skills.

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds.

- La maîtrise du français est essentielle. La connaissance de l’anglais constitue un atout.

- Knowledge and basic proficiency in MS Excel.

- Knowledge of the automotive industry would be an asset.

- Ability to operate a forklift would be an asset.
