CNC Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Strathmore, AB.

In this position, the CNC Operator sets up, programs, and operates CNC machinery used to produce cabinet components while following production drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Day-to-day responsibilities include loading and handling sheet materials, monitoring machine performance, adjusting settings as required, and inspecting completed parts to ensure accuracy and quality. The role also includes operating edgebanding equipment, performing routine machine maintenance, identifying and reporting equipment issues, and working closely with the production team to maintain schedules and efficient workflow.

The CNC Operator is expected to maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to continuous improvement throughout the cabinet manufacturing process.

Qualifications

- Experience operating CNC machinery in a woodworking, cabinetry, or similar manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Experience operating and setting up edgebanding equipment is an asset.
- Strong machine operation skills, including protected setup, operation, and monitoring of production equipment.




- Experience working with plywood, MDF, melamine, and other sheet materials commonly used in cabinet manufacturing.
- Ability to perform quality-control checks, accurately use measuring tools, and ensure parts meet required specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret cabinet drawings, technical drawings, blueprints, cut lists, and work orders.
- Familiarity with cabinet manufacturing machinery and basic equipment troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies before parts move to the next stage of production.
- Good problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a production team.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver at least one full sheet of cabinet material when required, as well as perform other physical duties associated with cabinet manufacturing.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and work in a manufacturing environment throughout the workday.

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
