Press Brake Operator

Pay: $22.00–$30.00 per hour

TFS Manufacturing is looking for a reliable and experienced Press Brake Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable setting up and operating CNC press brakes, reading fabrication drawings, and producing formed sheet-metal parts accurately and efficiently.

Experience operating AMADA press brakes is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines
- Form steel, stainless steel, and aluminum parts according to drawings
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, bend dimensions, angles, and tolerances
- Select and install appropriate punches, dies, and tooling
- Perform machine setups and adjust programs as required
- Measure completed parts using calipers, tape measures, squares, and other inspection tools
- Check bend angles, dimensions, and overall part quality
- Make adjustments for material variation and springback
- Maintain consistent production speeds while meeting quality requirements
- Organize and stage parts for forming
- Work independently and manage assigned production jobs
- Identify forming or tooling issues before parts are damaged
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Work with supervisors, welders, laser operators, and other production staff to keep jobs moving

Requirements
- Previous experience operating a CNC press brake in a sheet-metal or fabrication setting




- Ability to independently set up and run press brake jobs
- Strong ability to read fabrication drawings and understand bend information
- Experience measuring parts and working to specified tolerances
- Good understanding of press brake tooling and forming practices
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to lift and handle sheet-metal components as required
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a production team

Assets
- Experience with AMADA press brakes
- Experience with AMADA EGB or similar CNC/electric press brakes
- Experience forming heavier-gauge sheet metal and plate
- Knowledge of bend deductions, bend allowances, springback, and tooling selection
- Forklift experience
- Previous experience in a production sheet-metal fabrication shop

Compensation $22.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on press brake experience, setup ability, and overall fabrication knowledge.
