Supervise, coach, and develop site team members — with real investment in their growth. Review specifications, drawings, and all relevant project documentation. Assess and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to project schedule development and assist in administering contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions, and change notices. Identify design deficiencies, schedule interruptions, and other project issues, working collaboratively with the Project Manager to resolve them. Monitor subcontractor performance concerning safety, scope of work, and quality.
Ensure sufficient labour resources are available to meet safety, schedule, and quality objectives. Maintain daily documentation, including field reports, safety inspections, and schedule updates. Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal laws and standards.
Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to Inspection Test Plans and quality control procedures. Maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and consultants.
What You Bring
Experience 5+ years as a Superintendent in general contracting Project Scale Managed projects valued at $1 million or more Sector Commercial, institutional, or industrial construction Asset Trade background in carpentry and/or Red Seal Certification Experience managing concrete and carpentry is an advantage Leadership Collaborative team builder with strong field management skills Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of construction techniques, contract drawings, and specifications
