Lifemark was acquired by Loblaw Companies on May 10, 2022.Reporting to the Senior Director Real Estate, Facilities and Capital Planning the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement will be the subject matter expert focused on maximizing enterprise value through strategic sourcing, cost optimization, supplier performance and commercial negotiations. In partnership with corporate procurement teams, the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement will be accountable for analyzing current spend and negotiating with vendors to purchase retail products, goods not for resale, services, IT contracts and various other expense contracts. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, fostering supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of goods/services while maintaining high-quality standards.Key AccountabilitiesData Analytics and Cost ManagementAnalyze current product/service/expense spend across the business including clinic operations and corporate costs to identify areas for cost savingsDetermine average spend per clinic across various expense categories and establish parameters/guidelines for spendMonitor and track spend on a regular basis and investigate variances as necessaryProcurement Strategy and PlanningMeet with operations and cost centre leads to understand procurement needs,



and to identify and evaluate vendors based on a set of criteria/scorecard to select the best vendorDevelop and executes comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectivesProvide updates to the VP Finance and broader leadership team on procurement strategies and initiatives and escalates risks/decisions as requiredMeet with the leadership team to plan cost-driven initiatives and annual building blocksIdentify opportunities for improvements and cost savings in procurement operations through streamlining of processes and consolidation of the supply chainVendor ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, contracts and agreementsSource new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality and reliabilityInitiate and own the vendor Request for Proposal (RFP) process to source products/servicesMaintain all product/service/expense contractsServe as first touchpoint with vendors for all cost-related troubleshootingInventory ManagementCollaborates with business teams to resolve major inventory issues as they arise i.E. over-orders, short shipmentsForecast demand and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishmentFacilitation where needed on major vendor stock supply chain issuesLeadership & General ManagementConduct and review post-mortem analysis on the effectiveness of vendor management and procurement, and identifies opportunities for improvementParticipate in the annual planning and monthly forecasting process providing inputsLiaise with enterprise procurement,
