What you’ll do

Reporting to a Community Fundraising Manager, this Coordinator position plays a critical role in creating meaningful and inspiring experiences for donors through various Community fundraising programs. The major areas of responsibility for this role include managing community initiatives (CI’s) under $25,000, Sunny Bear Birthday Club program and the schools and kids fundraising portfolios.

More specifically, as the Community Fundraising Coordinator, you will:

- Work with BCCHF’s third-party fundraising programs to ensure their success. This includes assessing and analyzing third-party fundraising events to make recommendations for improvements and collaborating with other departments on their activation and execution.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries related to fundraising events, following BCCHF policy and procedures
- Provide support to online fundraising pages, helping to set up and monitor activities
- Build and maintain relationships with donors in all portfolio areas and continuously look for ways to enhance current relationships and further engagement opportunities.
- Ensure our donors are recognized and understand the impact of their giving by assisting with recognition and stewardship processes; this involves collaborating with our Experience team to draft thank you letters, create stewardship reports and assist with planning recognition events as needed.
- Working in collaboration with other departments,



develop and implement annual solicitation, cultivation, stewardship and recognition plans for annual donors from various stakeholder groups to increase revenue, donor acquisition and retention, and ultimately our donor pipeline for leadership and major gifts.
- Oversee the data management of the portfolio by ensuring accurate information is being tracked and entered in the donor database and preparing and analyzing reports to support the growth of assigned fundraising programs and donors.

What you’ll bring

- A diploma or degree in Marketing or Business Administration, complemented by 3 years of related experience (or a combination of education and experience); experience in fundraising is considered an asset.
- A proven ability in building relationships with donors and stakeholders and cultivating meaningful connections to the cause.
- Excellent customer service skills to facilitate great donor experiences.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability and comfort with public speaking and presentations; ability to deliver information in an inspiring and meaningful way.
- The ability to navigate sensitive donor situations or complaints with tact and diplomacy.
- Raiser’s Edge NXT or other database experience is an asset.
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle for donor meetings and events.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends, to attend various community events.

The hiring range for this position is between $60,870 and $68,000. At BCCHF, we are committed to ensuring that compensation is fair and equitable. Your placement in the salary range will be determined by your experience, relevant skills, and qualifications as they relate to this role.

Please note that all BCCHF team members are required to complete a vulnerable sector criminal record check as a condition of employment.
