The Municipal
District is on the lookout for a Manager of Planning & Development and Community Services to spearhead initiatives that align with Council's objectives. This role includes managing a team, directing community grants, and enhancing services like municipal libraries and custodial care. Strong compliance with regulations and effective teamwork are critical aspects of this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of strategic community services
- Oversee planning, development, and support staff operations
- Foster relationships with board members and community stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to provincial legislation and municipal bylaws
- Prepare reports and manage project documentation efficiently Requirements:
- Relevant post-secondary education in Planning & Development
- At least two years in a municipal leadership role
- Proven experience in public sector collaboration
- Exceptional relationship management skills
- Membership in APPI or equivalent, Registered Qualified Planner designation Shape policies and community projects in Alberta as the Manager of Planning & Development.
