Baycrest Hospital is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for its part time overnight shift in the Behavioral Neurology Unit. This role offers a chance to enhance the lives of patients with neurocognitive challenges.
As an RPN in the secure inpatient Behavioral Neurology Unit, you will engage in comprehensive patient assessments and deliver specialized care tailored to each client's needs. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will focus on improving the quality of life of adults experiencing behavioral issues tied to cognitive impairments. This role is essential in providing safe, effective nursing care during night shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and implement nursing interventions in line with scope • Foster client-centered approaches within a multidisciplinary team • Work alongside Registered Nurse to update care plans as needed
Requirements: • Current registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario • BCLS Level C certification mandatory • Preferable experience with challenging behaviors and cognitive disorders • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Basic skills in Meditech and Microsoft applications
