etc.).Strong analytical/troubleshooting/decision making skillsAbility to work and communicate in a team environment – valuable interpersonal skillsResponsibilities:Monitors and controls all processes and equipment in assigned unit area.Responds to Emergencies and Upset conditions ensuring that established procedures are followedPerforms routine operating tasks (i.E. monitor levels, temperatures, pressures, etc.)Monitors operating area for abnormal conditions (i.E. mechanical or process related)Operates process in all phases: steady state, startup, shutdown, abnormal situationsPerforms basic troubleshooting and product samplingAssists in preparation of equipment for maintenanceTakes active role in troubleshooting and entering notifications for equipment / unit repairsPerforms housekeeping duties, operational maintenance as assignedBe part of the emergency response team as outlined in the Emergency Response PlanLocation and other Key details:You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum WayMust be prepared to work a rotating twelve (12) hour shift schedule.This job is physically demanding and requires heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds, tanks and/or towersCandidates must be able to perform work in a variety of different environments, both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces, and at heights; and must be comfortableusing a self-contained breathing apparatusYou will be subject to a six-month probationary period and represented by the Edmonton employees' bargaining associationSuncor is committed to providing equal opportunities for employment and building an inclusive, results-oriented and high-performance culture where all members of our team feel safe, valued and respected.#J-18808-Ljbffr
