What is the Opportunity?We are seeking a Director – Data Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary data organization responsible for data engineering, data quality, and data governance capabilities across the bank. ensuring alignment with business goals, quality standards, and timelines.Manage resource planning, budgets, and vendor partnerships.Establish metrics and processes for high-quality engineering delivery and continuous improvementWhat do you need to succeed?Must have:10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or enterprise data management.5+ years of experience in technical leadership or people management roles.Experience building and operating enterprise data platforms and large-scale data pipelines.Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.Experience working in highly regulated industries such as banking or financial services.Strong understanding of modern data architecture (cloud data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses).Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary technology teams and deliver large-scale initiatives.Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for senior leadership.Nice-to-haveExperience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Databricks.Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.Familiarity with data quality platforms such as Informatica IDQ/CDQ or similar.Experience building data products or domain-oriented data architecturesExperience leading distributed or multi-location engineering teams.What's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
