The Construction Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the success of the construction project. Leadership of the Construction Management Team to achieve the successful execution of the project while ensuring the standards of safety, environment, quality and execution of construction specifications, and management of schedule and cost are met.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with the project costing group to ensure project controls are in place for cost and schedule.

- Generate the Construction Management Plan and input into overall Project Execution Plan.

- Ensure effective field communication and coordination within functional departments.

- Work with the Project Manager (PM) to manage change within the work scope.

- Monitor construction progress and providing support to the Project Manager.

- Provide expertise for the resolution of concerns that may arise during construction, equipment installation, etc.

- Provide lessons learned on projects to the management team, input on process improvements.

- Perform work tasks in a fast-paced work workplace within re-start project.

- Provide feedback to the Project Manager for end of project review with various groups and attend project close-out meetings.

- Provide weekly updates to the management of construction progress.

- The Construction Manager will be the Senior Representative in the field and will coordinate all construction activities.

- Manage teams and be responsible for liaison between C&SU; Manager.

- Review all Extra Work Authorizations and endorse those approved within his signing authority.





- Responsible for maintaining good working relationships with all regulatory authorities (and their representatives), the Contractors, CNOOC International.

- Ensure that lines of communication are maintained and viable.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the oil and gas or energy sectors.

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, standards, and best practices.

- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring project goals related to cost, schedule, and quality are met.

- Familiarity with project controls systems and software for tracking project cost, schedule, and progress.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.

- Experience working with regulatory authorities and maintaining positive relationships with contractors and key stakeholders.

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in providing regular project updates and reporting.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations and procedures in the construction industry.
