QSI Interiors Ltd. is seeking a Construction Safety Facilitator for our Calgary branch. This is an entry level, full-time position and ideal for recent graduates of a recognized OHS program. Our trade involves drywalling, steel framing, drywall finishing plus acoustical and specialty ceilings.
We are a busy, well structured, safety conscious trade contractor and have the privilege of working for the best general contractors in Western Canada. The successful candidate will work with company personnel, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to maintain a positive safe work environment.
Key responsibilities include
- WCB Administration including managing claims, evaluating modified duties, and investigating incidents
- Maintaining our COR certification
- Administering orientations & maintaining training records
- Implementing and monitoring of our company safety program
- Conducting various inspections, attending safety meetings
- Maintain and administer safety supplies
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Construction Safety Officer Certificate or an equivalent accredited program
- Occupational First Aid Level Two or Three or willing to take the course
- Communication skills, writing skills (English), people skills, technical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and other programs related to your field
