Construction Sales Representative Job Overview

Ace Build Contracting is a leading luxury construction company specializing in custom homes, high-end renovations, and additions and legal basements across the GTA. We are looking for someone with strong experience in both construction estimating and sales, particularly within the construction, renovation, or general contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be confident working directly with homeowners, understanding project requirements, preparing accurate estimates, presenting proposals, following up with potential clients, and successfully closing deals.

Position Summary The Construction Sales & Estimator will be responsible for managing potential projects from the initial client inquiry through estimating, proposal presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and contract closing.

This position requires someone who understands residential construction costs and processes while also having the communication and sales skills necessary to build client trust and convert qualified leads into signed projects.

The successful candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, confident discussing budgets and project scopes, and motivated to meet sales and closing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Communicate with prospective clients regarding renovation and construction projects.
- Conduct client consultations and site visits when required.
- Understand the client's project goals, scope, budget, and expectations.
- Review architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates and proposals.
- Calculate labour, material, subcontractor, equipment, and project-related costs.
- Follow up consistently with existing and prospective industry contacts to maintain strong skilled relationships.
- Present estimates and project proposals clearly and professionally to clients.
- Explain project scope, pricing, timelines, and construction processes.
- Follow up consistently with leads and outstanding estimates.




- Build strong relationships with prospective clients throughout the sales process.
- Handle client questions, concerns, and objections professionally.
- Negotiate project pricing and terms while maintaining company profitability.
- Convert qualified leads and estimates into signed construction contracts.
- Maintain organized records of leads, estimates, proposals, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and management when preparing project estimates.
- Identify potential scope gaps, additional costs, and project requirements before contracts are finalized.
- Meet company sales, estimating, and closing goals.

Qualifications:

- Previous construction estimating experience is required.
- Strong previous sales experience is required.
- Previous experience working within the construction, renovation, general contracting, or home improvement industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, labour, and project costs.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, architectural plans, and scopes of work.
- Proven ability to communicate with clients and close sales.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Confident discussing project pricing, budgets, and contracts with homeowners.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing estimates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple leads, estimates, and client conversations simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, professional, accountable, and results-driven.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the Ace Build Contracting team.
