Our client in Kitchener is looking for an HR Generalist to join their team in a full-time permanent role! Qualifications Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. CHRP designation or working toward a CHRP designation is considered an asset. Approximately 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly fast-paced environment. Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations. Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices. Experience with employee relations, investigations, progressive discipline, attendance management, recruitment, and performance management. Experience with HRIS, payroll, and time-and-attendance systems; Dayforce experience is an asset. Robust Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on HR policies etc. Support employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, coaching, progressive discipline, conflict resolution, and performance management. Assist management with attendance and absenteeism management Manage or support full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.
Coordinate new-hire orientation and support employee onboarding including documentation. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS information. Support payroll administration by ensuring accuracy of information such as time and attendance information, vacation, leaves, and other payroll-related documents Administer employee benefits and assist employees with benefit and RRSP questions. Support disability management, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work programs in collaboration with all stakeholders. Support training and development initiatives. Assist with employee engagement, recognition initiatives. Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Ensure HR practices comply with applicable employment legislation, including the ESA, Ontario Human Rights Code, OHSA, WSIA and other applicable requirements.
