You will function as a field supervisor and may have responsibility for multiple Foreman, and/or laborers/craft workers. You with be responsible for the organization, work methods, scheduling, cost control, conformity with drawings and specification, workmanship, and assignment of work to accomplish the execution of the work, either directly or through General Foreman or Foreman. We are a major industrial contractor that work on projects that involve construction of oil & gas facilities such as oilsands processing, including steam–assisted gravity drainage facilities, upgrading & refining, midstream facilities, power & co-generation, terminal projects (ex. LNG, LPG, etc.), and major mine developments. We also have a Modular Yard facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Our engineering branch is a leading-edge division that offers innovative engineering services for our current projects and new pursuits in Canada. Our design services group are based in Calgary and Houston offering expertise in process, piping, mechanical,



electrical and civil/structural disciplines.LocationWe are primarily looking for superintendents in the Edmonton, AB and Calgary, AB region who are able to work a rotation and potentially relocate as needed.One of the many things that makes Kiewit's culture unique is that we go where the work is, which exposes your career to abundant opportunities. This means your Kiewit adventure is custom-designed to meet our shared needs.ResponsibilitiesMentor and help to grow Jr. SuperintendentsReview and approve the balance of Foremen, journeymen and laborer's composite labor ratesManage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication)Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on siteInitiate and attend supplementary and regular meeting with client for problem resolution and planningOversee and approve the monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projectionsReview, approve and negotiate change ordersDevelop and implement a plan for project completion and turnoverMaintain daily diary for record keeping purposesEnsure that all performance evaluations and completed in a timely fashion for direct reportsRecommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy and procedural or staff changesReview and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.#LI-GHQualifications6+ years' mechanical construction experience with 1+ years being in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity (preferfably working on industrial projects such as oil/gas facility construction, renewable energy-related construction, water/wastewater treatment plants etc.)Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit's policies, procedures and software programs.Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise.Excellent organizational, administrative,



communication and interpersonal skills.Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.Other Requirements:Regular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentPerform work safely and effectively.
