This role is integral to project success in hydropower refurbishments, focusing on detailed designs for electrical balance-of-plant systems. You will lead engineering studies, creating comprehensive design packages and engaging with project teams for effective project delivery. This position demands both technical expertise and collaborative skills in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed designs for electric systems in hydropower
• Conduct studies using ETAP for protective coordination and load flow
• Prepare technical specifications for electrical equipment
• Generate engineering drawings and documentation
• Oversee project delivery and resolution of site issues
Requirements:
• Electrical Engineering degree; P.Eng. designation required
• 7-15 years of relevant electrical design experience
• Familiarity with CSA, IEEE, and ANSI codes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD/Revit experience is valuable
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
