About the Opportunity

Canter Coffee is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced contract baker to support the consistent production of baked goods for our café and coffee trailer.

The selected baker will prepare established Canter Coffee recipes from their own approved home-based or commercial kitchen and deliver completed orders weekly to our locations in Sunderland and Cannington.

This is an ongoing independent contract opportunity with consistent weekly order volume and significant potential to grow as Canter expands.

Responsibilities

- Produce baked goods using Canter Coffee recipes and product specifications
- Maintain consistent taste, appearance, portion size and overall quality
- Complete confirmed weekly orders by the agreed deadline
- Package products appropriately for safe delivery and storage
- Deliver completed orders to Canter Coffee each week
- Communicate promptly regarding availability, production concerns or potential delays
- Accommodate reasonable fluctuations in quantities based on customer demand
- Maintain accurate ingredient and allergen information

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skilled or commercial baking experience
- Ability to produce beautiful, consistent baked goods in volume
- Access to an approved, inspected and properly equipped home-based or commercial kitchen
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established recipes




- Reliable transportation and the ability to complete weekly deliveries
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
- Capacity to support consistent weekly production
- Food Handler Certification and appropriate business or product-liability insurance are considered assets

Contract Arrangement This is an independent contractor opportunity. The baker will provide their own workspace, equipment, ingredients, labour and transportation.

Canter Coffee will provide the recipes, product specifications and confirmed order quantities. Production scheduling will be managed independently by the baker, provided the agreed quality and delivery requirements are met.

Compensation will be negotiated per product or batch based on the agreed menu, production volume and delivery requirements.
