Join Our Team

Pearlman Lindholm is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join our real estate team. This is an opportunity to take an important role in a busy practice while working alongside lawyers, conveyancers, and administrative professionals who value collaboration, accuracy, and exceptional client service.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing residential real estate transactions from opening through completion and final reporting. For the right candidate, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a collaborative and growing law firm.

Why This Role Matters

Buying, selling, or refinancing property is one of the most significant transactions many clients will undertake. Our conveyancers help make that process organized, efficient, and as straightforward as possible by coordinating transactions, managing critical deadlines, preparing documentation, and working closely with lawyers, clients, and other professionals.

Our Culture

At Pearlman Lindholm, we believe strong teams are built through collaboration, continuous learning, and mutual support. Our conveyancers work as a team, sharing knowledge and using consistent processes so workloads can be managed effectively. We also value practical ideas that improve our systems, client service, and the way we work.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage residential purchases, sales, refinances, and related transactions from file opening through completion and reporting.

· Review contracts, lender instructions, title information, and transaction documentation, and conduct required title and tax searches.

· Prepare closing documents, statements of adjustments, LTSA filings, and Property Transfer Tax documentation.

· Coordinate mortgage requirements, signing appointments, and communications with clients, realtors, lenders, law firms, notaries, and other parties.

· Work with accounting on trust funds, trust requisitions, deposits, payouts, and other financial aspects of transactions.

· Monitor completion dates, undertakings, holdbacks, reporting requirements, and other critical deadlines.

· Complete post-closing reporting and maintain accurate electronic files using LEAP and the firm's conveyancing systems.

· Collaborate with lawyers and other conveyancers to manage workflow and ensure transactions are completed accurately and on time.

What We're Looking For

· Experience handling residential real estate conveyancing in British Columbia.

· Strong knowledge of residential purchases, sales, mortgages, LTSA, Property Transfer Tax, lender requirements, trust procedures, and BC conveyancing practices.

· Experience with LEAP or other legal practice management software and electronic conveyancing platforms is an asset.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills,

with the ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines.

· Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to identify issues before they become problems.

· Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients and other professionals.

· Ability to work independently while knowing when to involve the responsible lawyer, together with a collaborative approach to supporting the team.

What We Offer

· An established and active real estate practice with support from experienced lawyers and colleagues.

· A collaborative environment that values shared knowledge, consistent processes, and continuous improvement.

· Opportunities for career development and continued learning.

· Competitive compensation and benefits, with the opportunity to build a long-term career with the firm.
