Join M’Chigeeng First Nation as a Coordinator focusing on Child Well-Being Law Development, a vital role in achieving jurisdictional readiness and community welfare. Engage directly with community members and lead multi-year initiatives. In this full time position, you will coordinate Year 1 of an key cultural and service project, focusing on community needs, engagement, and child well-being law initiatives.
The Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Health and Wellness and is instrumental in aligning services with Anishinaabe values and community input. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project staff coordination
- Develop a comprehensive Community Engagement Plan
- Conduct jurisdictional and gap analysis research
- Support foundational law and policy drafting
- Develop performance indicators and accurate reports Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years in project management
- Experience with Indigenous governance and policy
- Strong understanding of community welfare challenges
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Must have a valid Driver's License and insurance This role is essential for nurturing a culturally grounded, community-driven approach to child well-being at M’Chigeeng.
