RATE: $31.49 - $35.40
Responsible for consulting, coordinating and implementing all aspects of processes related to patient satisfaction, occurrences, patient safety, quality and risk management. Responsible for data management, including the collection, submission and quality assurance of data related to occurrences, patient satisfaction, concerns. Acts as a resource and liaison for other staff within and out of the department.
1. Supports the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer on risk management principles, root cause analysis, service recovery and patient concerns management, and act as a resource for departmental/program staff.
2. Coordinate the occurrence reporting process, facilitating root cause analysis for all critical occurrences and any near misses that may have otherwise resulted in significant harm.
3. Consult on the patient concerns process, facilitating investigation, response and resolution.
4. Track patient concerns and compliments, identifying improvement opportunities and areas of strength.
5. Support Quality of Care Committee and quality of care reviews, as necessary.
6. Administration and maintenance of information, guidelines, policies, procedures and manuals for Quality Management Program.
7. Coordinate continuous workflow on all projects such that timelines are adhered to and effectively resolve any issues that may delay or interrupt the progress of a project.
8. Support the Hospital's accreditation process and Patient Safety Strategy.
9. Provide support to improvement initiatives as required.
10. Provide input on policy development and improvements to the Hospital's quality activities.
11. Undertake research on standards, best practices, and other resources as required.

Facilitate the assessment of information and resources for validity, reliability and usability and incorporate into programs or initiate changes as appropriate.
13. Prepare reports related to departmental/organizational activities and CQI initiatives.
14. Help develop and implement systems to ensure timely satisfaction of customer needs within available resources.
15. Coordinate patient satisfaction surveys, facilitating routine quality reviews with program teams.
16. Deliver training on quality management topics.
17. Collaborate with subject matter specialists, resource personnel, department heads, and supervisors.
18. Continually develop knowledge and skills in order to adapt to workplace environment.
19. Develop linkages and communicate regularly with relevant hospital departments, community agencies, physicians, patients and other customers.
20. Develop and maintain educational/resource materials as required. | 21. Prepare and analyze statistics and reports, and using reasonable judgment take appropriate action.
21. Maintain good public relations.
22. Monitor performance and compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure department/organization standards are met.
23. Assist in orientating, educating and training assigned staff on new and revised policies and procedures and follows their progress.
24. Support and follow all standards,
policies and procedures set out by the organization.

Required Skills & Role
- Three years' clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Bachelor Degree in Business or Health related field
- Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities: Critical thinking skills and judgement.
- Solid organizational skills and knowledge of process improvement principles are necessary.
- Customer service, interpersonal and telephone skills.
- In depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs including intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Al programs and applications.
- Knowledge of dashboard programs such as Microsoft Power Bl an asset.
- Ability to maintain successful working relationships with the interdisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Ability to organize time effectively to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to meet and interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible and reassuring manner. Ability to identify and implement remedies in the workplace.
