Position Overview The Corporate Accountant will support the financial operations of multiple companies within The Bignucolo Group. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who is actively pursuing their CPA designation and is looking to gain broad experience in financial reporting, corporate accounting, and the construction industry.

Working closely with the CFO and senior finance team, the successful candidate will play a key role in month-end reporting, financial analysis, reconciliations, and process improvements while developing the skills required for continued career growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple companies within the Group.
- Prepare month-end and year-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and working papers.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Support the preparation of government filings, including HST, payroll remittances, and other statutory reporting.
- Assist with project costing,



job profitability analysis, and reporting for construction operations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and variance analyses.
- Support external auditors and accountants during year-end audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Provide support to the finance team on special projects and corporate initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Actively pursuing a CPA designation
- Two to five years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and full-cycle accounting.
- Experience with accounting software; Jonas Construction Software is considered an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a quick-paced environment.
- Experience in construction accounting or a multi-entity environment is considered an asset.

Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Bignucolo Group also offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid professional development, CPA support, and opportunities for career advancement.
