We are seeking a Corporate & Commercial Lawyer to join an established full-service law firm in Oakville. This is an excellent opportunity for an Ontario-called lawyer to work with privately owned businesses and not-for-profit organizations while developing a successful corporate and commercial practice within a supportive, community-focused firm.

Responsibilities

- Advise small, medium, and large privately owned businesses on corporate and commercial matters.

- Advise not-for-profit and charitable organizations.

- Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and business sales.

- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including leases and shareholders' agreements.

- Assist clients with corporate structuring and incorporations.

- Incorporate and advise not-for-profit and charitable organizations.





- Handle corporate reorganizations and amalgamations.

- Assist with financing transactions.

- Develop and maintain solid client relationships while providing practical legal advice.

- Qualifications

- 1+ year of experience in corporate and commercial law.

- Called to the Ontario Bar and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

- Solid drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively with the team.

- Strong client-service orientation and interest in developing a long-term corporate and commercial practice.
