About the Role The Team Lead will work closely with the leadership team at Kensington Corporate to facilitate all aspects of corporate travel. This role is responsible for maintaining a full book of business as a top-performing travel consultant while also leading, coaching, and supporting a team of corporate concierge agents. The ideal candidate is a master of time management who can seamlessly balance high-touch client service with team leadership, ensuring both individual sales targets and team KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.

This is a hybrid role by design: the Team Lead is expected to protect dedicated, uninterrupted time each week to focus fully on leadership responsibilities (coaching, scheduling, escalations, and operational oversight) while trusting their team to manage day-to-day client coverage during those blocks. Strong delegation skills and deep team knowledge of all accounts are essential to making this balance work.

Responsibilities

Sales & Client Servicing (80%)

- Arrange routine and complex domestic and international business travel for air, car, hotel, limousine, and rail
- Maintain an exceptional and consistent relationship with clients across all assigned accounts
- Assist with researching and resolving client enquiries
- Create and update traveler profile information and share knowledge within the team
- Support group travel reservations
- Debit memo research and disputes
- Maintain thorough, working knowledge of every account on the team's book of business so client coverage can be picked up seamlessly at any time

Team Leadership (20%)

- Fill shift gaps and provide direct client coverage when team members are out or overloaded
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular one-on-ones and team meetings
- Manage shared inboxes and phone queues to ensure SLAs are consistently met




- Serve as the first point of escalation for client issues
- Manage team schedules and vacation rotations
- Assist team members with contractual and commission-related enquiries
- Delegate proactively, knowing when and how to hand off client coverage so leadership tasks receive uninterrupted focus
- Block and protect dedicated time on the calendar for Team Lead duties (reporting, coaching, planning, escalations), with the team fully briefed and equipped to manage active client needs during those windows
- Work closely with the Customer Success team to ensure the highest level of customer experience
- Participate in Town Halls from time to time
- Other responsibilities as required by the Director or VP, including availability after hours in the case of an emergency

Qualifications

- 5+ years of proven travel sales experience as a travel consultant
- 5+ years of proven Sabre GDS experience, including airline contracts, refunds, exchanges, international airline commission, and net fare agreements
- Exemplary sales skills and a customer-oriented service approach
- Strong attention to detail and proven multi-tasking ability
- Excellent knowledge of international airfare routings, ticketing, and exchanges
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills; able to plan around and protect focused work blocks
- Comfortable and confident delegating tasks and client coverage to team members
- Highly motivated to achieve both personal sales targets and team KPIs
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think independently and escalate issues appropriately
- Previous leadership experience is a plus
- Open, transparent communication with the leadership team
- Positive, resourceful, and a "can-do" attitude
- Highly functional in a rapid-paced, constantly changing environment
- Strong belief in company culture and the ability to embrace change
