Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with food ordering, preparation, and serving to ensure a positive dining experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash, credit, or digital payments
- Manage cash register operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and issuing receipts
- Prepare simple food items following safety and sanitation standards, including basic food preparation tasks
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries,
resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer needs are met efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar technology for quick transaction processing
- Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate change and register balancing
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude that promotes customer satisfaction
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in upselling menu items or promoting specials is a plus
