Mental Health Counsellor

Two Positions Available | Winnipeg, Manitoba

Join a clinic built around collaborative care

Alleviate Holistic Health is an established and growing health clinic in Winnipeg providing integrated physical and mental health services through a transdisciplinary model of care.

Our team includes professionals from both physical and mental health disciplines who work collaboratively to support the whole person. Our approach recognizes that physical health, mental health, pain, stress, injury, relationships, environment, and life circumstances are often interconnected — and that better care can happen when practitioners communicate and collaborate appropriately.

We are looking for clinicians who are compassionate, clinically grounded, collaborative, and interested in being part of a practice where mental health care is integrated into a broader network of client support.

At Alleviate, collaboration means recognizing when another perspective may benefit the client, communicating effectively with colleagues when appropriate, facilitating warm referrals, and participating in coordinated care with client knowledge and consent.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for Mental Health Counsellors who provide thoughtful, client-centred and trauma-informed care to a diverse client population.

We are particularly interested in clinicians with experience or a strong clinical interest in one or more of the following areas:

- Trauma and PTSD
- Anxiety and depression
- Neurodivergence
- Youth and adolescents
- Couples and families
- Grief and loss
- Self-esteem and identity
- Stress and burnout
- Life transitions
- Chronic pain and the psychological impact of injury or illness
- Adjustment to changes in physical health, function or mobility
- Emotional factors related to recovery, rehabilitation and return to activity
- Parenting and family relationships

Our Transdisciplinary Approach The right candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Depending on the needs and preferences of the client, this may include:

- Identifying when another service or discipline may benefit a client's overall care
- Facilitating thoughtful and appropriate internal referrals
- Receiving referrals from physical health practitioners when mental health support may complement treatment
- Communicating with other members of a client's care team when clinically appropriate and with client consent
- Contributing to collaborative or shared care planning when appropriate
- Participating in case consultation and professional learning with colleagues
- Understanding the relationship between physical health, pain, stress, trauma and emotional wellbeing
- Maintaining clear professional boundaries,

confidentiality and discipline-specific scope of practice at all times

Clients may choose collaborative care, remain with a single practitioner, or explore other services later. Client autonomy and consent remain central to the process. What Your New Practice Home Offers
