Overview

Serenity Wellness is looking to hire experienced counsellors or therapists (CCC, RP or MSW) to add to our team. Experience with couples, children and/or family counselling would be an asset. The successful candidate would be working as an independent contractor. Compensation is based on a pre-determined percentage of session fees that can be discussed.

Serenity Wellness (previously Serenity Counselling) has been operating as a mental-health private practice for the past seven years, and are expanding to become a multidisciplinary clinic in the Fall. Our vision is to create a whole-person wellness clinic where clients can access trusted professionals who support different aspects of overall health.

Responsibilities

- Provide professional, client-centred counselling to individuals, couples and/or families.
- Provide evidence-informed, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions based on each client's needs.
- Communicate with clients in a professional, timely manner.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and adhere to relevant ethical codes, legislation and practice standards.
- Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with best practices in patient care.
- Maintain timely, accurate and confidential clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, to coordinate holistic care.

Requirements

- Previous counselling experience required. Preference will be given to those with experience in private practice.
- Master's degree and certification from licensing board: CCC., RP., MSW.
- Professional liability insurance
- Provide a clean criminal record & vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to work independently
- Personal laptop

Experience an Asset

- Child Counselling
- Family Counselling
- Couples Counselling
- Trauma trained (EMDR, ART, etc.)
- Training in OCD, Addictions, Bipolar, Eating Disorders
- Familiarity with Jane software

Pay: $109.00-$150.00 per hour
