Court Administrator
Location: New Westminster, BC
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Location: In person
Compensation: Salary + Commission
We are a Court Bailiff agency appointed by the Ministry of Attorney General, enforcing court actions throughout British Columbia in accordance with the Sheriff Act and other provincial and federal legislation.
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented, assertive Court Administrator with exceptional customer service and follow-up skills to join our New Westminster office.
This is a busy role involving regular communication with clients, the public, Court Registries and Bailiffs in the field. The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with the persistence and confidence of a successful accounts receivable/collections professional — someone who is comfortable following up, asking direct questions, obtaining required information and moving matters forward.
Accuracy is critical. Files involve court documents, deadlines, dates, addresses and instructions that must be reviewed and communicated correctly.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls and respond to email inquiries
- Provide professional and confident customer service
- Review intake documents for accuracy and completeness
- Proactively follow up on outstanding information, documentation and client instructions
- Maintain accurate file notes and records
- Book appointments and coordinate schedules
- Liaise with Bailiffs regarding active files
- Relay accurate and time-sensitive information to Bailiffs in the field
- Provide administrative and file support to Bailiffs
- Communicate with Court Registries, lawyers, clients and members of the public
- Complete forms, correspondence and administrative documentation
- Track deadlines and ensure required follow-ups are completed
- Take ownership of assigned matters and see them through to completion
- Escalate matters when required
- Maintain confidentiality
- Other duties as required

Experience Previous experience in customer service, collections, accounts receivable, legal administration or another rapid-paced administrative environment is strongly preferred.
Experience in debt collection is an asset, particularly for candidates accustomed to managing follow-ups, difficult conversations and results-driven work.
Court Bailiff or enforcement experience is not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
