Join our dynamic team as a Custodial, Events, & Facilities Technician, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our facilities safe, clean, and ready for action. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a pristine workplace through commercial cleaning practices, supporting event setups and breakdowns, and performing essential facilities maintenance. Your proactive approach will ensure that our spaces are functional, welcoming, and well-maintained for staff and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, common spaces, and event venues using commercial cleaning techniques suited to a historical building to uphold hygiene standards.
- Prepare event spaces by setting up tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, and other necessary items; dismantle and clean after events to ensure readiness for future use.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs such as lighting issues, plumbing concerns, or equipment malfunctions.
- Carry out general maintenance tasks including minor repairs, replacing fixtures, and ensuring safety protocols are followed across all areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor spaces such as walkways, parking lots, and landscaped areas to promote a welcoming environment.
- Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, maintenance activities,



and safety inspections to support operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues or emergencies to minimize disruptions and maintain a safe environment.

Skills

- Proven experience in cleaning services with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures and supplies.
- Strong facilities maintenance skills with the ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshoot common issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail in performing cleaning tasks and conducting inspections to ensure high standards are met.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues clearly.
