Watzin Veterinary Clinic is looking for a dedicated Customer Care Representative / Animal Care Attendant to join our friendly, fast-paced team. As a proud Fear Free Certified and Cat Friendly Practice, we are dedicated to minimizing fear, anxiety, and stress for our patients. This unique dual role combines client service with hands-on animal care — perfect for someone who enjoys variety and believes in low-stress veterinary visits.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will support both our front desk and animal care areas. You will greet clients, manage appointments, and ensure pets receive the highest standard of low-stress care. From welcoming nervous cats to assisting in calm exams, your work helps create a safe, welcoming environment for our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Customer Care

- Greet clients with warmth, professionalism, and a welcoming attitude.
- Create a calm front-desk environment to reduce pet anxiety.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and handle inquiries empathetically.
- Schedule appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate clearly with clients about low-stress vet visit preparation.
- Collaborate with the medical team to resolve client concerns.

Animal Care

- Assist medical staff during examinations using gentle,



Fear Free restraint.
- Implement specific Cat Friendly handling techniques to ensure feline comfort.
- Safely handle and comfort animals to minimize stress and ensure safety.
- Monitor patient behavior for signs of fear, anxiety, or stress.
- Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, kennels, and treatment areas.
- Support general operations by preparing and sterilizing clinical equipment.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Veterinary assistant or animal care education is an asset.
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility.
- Fear Free Certification (or a solid willingness to obtain it upon hire).
- Knowledge of or experience with Cat Friendly handling techniques.
- Exceptional communication, empathy, and multitasking skills.
