As a Customs Specialist reporting to the Materials Manager, you will play a crucial role in compliance with local and international trade legislation. Your responsibilities include developing documentation for exports, overseeing product classification, and supporting procurement initiatives. Robust communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with import/export laws and regulations • Monitor legislative changes affecting product classification • Create and manage export shipment documentation • Collaborate closely with suppliers for sourcing efficiencies • Guide internal teams on trade compliance and regulations
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or similar • Minimum of 2 years relevant customs experience • Proven skills in project management and analytics • Expertise in regulatory frameworks like USMCA • Familiarity with ERP systems and tariff classification
