Job Overview
Curtis International Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Customer Service and Quality team. The successful candidate will work independently in a quick-paced environment and assist with investigating consumer-reported product safety and quality concerns.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, inspect, and test consumer product returns involving reported safety-related incidents.
- Document product conditions, testing procedures, photographs, videos, and investigation findings.
- Work with Quality Control in Hong Kong, factories, and suppliers to investigate safety and quality concerns.
- Assist with the development and follow-up of Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPs).
- Coordinate with the offshore review-analysis team to identify recurring product issues, emerging safety concerns, and model-specific trends.
- Compare review trends with warranty claims, consumer complaints, and returned-product findings.
- Escalate significant concerns and track factory or supplier investigations through completion.
- Test samples and new products for performance, functionality, safety, and ease of use.
- Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to Product Management.
- Prepare concise reports and summaries for management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Good understanding of electronic and household products and their functionality.
- Able to evaluate whether a product is operating correctly and identify potential safety concerns.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Able to coordinate effectively with internal departments, offshore teams, factories, and suppliers.
- Experience in consumer products, quality assurance, product testing, warranty claims, or safety investigations is an asset.
- Experience with an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP/Great Plains, is an asset.
