You will work a few steps from where our leather gets cut, stitched, and stamped, on a small team where the founders are usually in the room, not behind a door somewhere. Most days, you are the first person a customer hears from after they have ordered something built by hand. It’s a great opportunity to help highly engaged customers for a living.

About Dormie Workshop

Dormie Workshop is a workshop built by golfers, for golfers. We make leather golf accessories built around the places, moments, and people that make the game worth playing: headcovers, bags, and gifts, most of them personalized by hand. We are a team based in Halifax with an additional workshop in Los Angeles, and everyone on it, founders included, works closely together.

About the Role

You will be the first point of contact for our customers online, through our website chat and our customer service inbox. Most days, that means turning a question into confidence, a mix up into a fix, and a personalization request into something someone cannot wait to carry. You will be close enough to the workshop to see the products you are talking about getting made.

What You'll Do

- Answer customer questions through our website chat, in real time
- Respond to emails in our customer service inbox
- Help with order status, shipping timelines, personalization details, and returns
- Solve problems on the spot,



and know when to loop in the team
- Keep clear notes on what each customer needed and how you helped
- Flag questions that keep coming up so we can fix the cause, not just the symptom

What We're Looking For

- Customer service experience, whether that's retail, a call centre, or online support
- Strong writing. Explicit, friendly, and easy to read
- Comfortable running chat and email at the same time
- A genuine want to help people work through a problem
- Knowledge of golf is a real asset. You do not need to play, but if you know your way around a course, you will pick up the details faster
- Reliable. We need someone we can count on to show up and stay sharp

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
