We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dance Instructor to inspire students of all ages to discover the joy of movement and self-expression through dance. In this role, you will lead engaging dance classes, foster a positive learning setting, and help students develop their skills while building confidence. Your enthusiasm and expertise will motivate participants to reach their full potential, making dance a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic dance lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, emphasizing technique, creativity, and enjoyment
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation, self-expression, and teamwork among students
- Demonstrate proper dance techniques and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
- Organize and oversee rehearsals for performances or recitals, ensuring smooth coordination and preparation
- Incorporate music, choreography, and movement exercises that align with students’ interests and developmental stages
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring class activities and ensuring proper use of space and equipment
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, upcoming events, and class schedules
Experience
- Proven experience teaching dance to children or in an early childhood education setting
- Strong background in tutoring or teaching various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or contemporary
- Experience working with children of diverse ages and skill levels, fostering a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques to maintain discipline while encouraging creativity
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet individual student needs and developmental stages
- Previous experience in classroom settings or educational environments is highly desirable
- Passion for dance education with a commitment to inspiring young learners through movement
Pay: $17.95-$46.71 per hour
