About The Role
Public sector organizations across Canada are consolidating their analytics estates onto the Microsoft stack, and PS Consulters is building a bench of data professionals to meet that demand. The active pipeline includes replatforming engagements moving reporting from legacy BI tools onto Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, product-analytics and experimentation platforms for digital services used by the public, economic and investment data portals, and standing data-management and BI consulting arrangements procured through multi-year qualification vehicles. This mix favours consultants rather than report writers: people who can assess a messy reporting estate, design the target semantic model, argue for the right grain and refresh strategy, build the thing, and leave the client able to run it.
Engagements through qualification vehicles also tend to renew, so consultants who perform well can expect follow-on work with the same clients over multiple years. Assignments are contracted hourly through PS Consulters at competitive market rates; applicants state rate expectations. Most delivery is remote; workshops and discovery sessions occasionally require travel.
Work is delivered in English. This is an anticipated contract role tied to an active public sector procurement. Start dates depend on award and onboarding timelines. Qualified applicants are contacted as soon as the engagement is confirmed, and strong profiles are kept on file and matched against similar upcoming roles with consent.
Applications are reviewed by a practitioner, not a keyword filter; short, specific cover notes describing directly relevant work are read and valued.
PS Consulters welcomes applications from all qualified candidates, including members of visible minority communities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and newcomers to Canada with eligible work status. Accommodation during the recruitment process is available on request.
About PS Consulters: PS Consulters is the consulting brand of PMS Analytics, a Canadian software consulting and resourcing firm. PS Consulters places senior technology contractors with public sector and enterprise clients across Canada and delivers software projects as a prime contractor.
The firm is built and run by practitioners: engagements are scoped by people who have done the work, candidates are represented accurately, and consultants in the field are supported by a principal who reviews deliverables and stands behind them.
