Join the Government of Alberta as an Intermediate Data Engineer, working on the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS). In this position, you will contribute to the modernization efforts of the Government of Alberta by designing and developing robust Azure data platforms.
Your expertise with ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics-ready datasets will be vital for supporting compliance monitoring and data governance, with a robust emphasis on security and performance testing. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure data architecture for optimal performance
- Build ETL pipelines utilizing Azure Databricks and Data Factory
- Develop data workflows using Python (PySpark)
- Integrate complex data systems such as APIs and ServiceNow
- Implement data security and governance best practices Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Computer Science or similar
- 3+ years designing analytics-ready data platforms
- 4+ years of experience with Git version control
- 2+ years working with Databricks governance
