Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans to improve their dental health.
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with efficiency and professionalism.
- Maintain detailed patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.




- Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly atmosphere that encourages cooperation and reduces anxiety.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and ensure smooth workflow within the dental office.
- Uphold infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

- Valid Dental Hygienist license or certification as required by state law.
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred; strong customer service skills are essential.
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and terminology is a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry or working with children is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
