Department Head - Hardlines to provide exceptional customer experience for instore, online and phone in customers in our busy Hardware and Building Material location.

Previous

Sales/Management experience in paint, hardware, hand and power tools or seasonal is preferred. Plumbing, electrical, lumber, building material and flooring sales knowledge would be an asset. This candidate will ideally have experience in management, inventory control, merchandising and cash handling. This candidate will help oversee hardlines staff and will work in cooperation with other departments to seek out instore customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Specific store departments will include paint, housewares, hardware and seasonal . Knowledge of Plumbing, Electrical, Lumber, Building Materials, Flooring and key holder would be an asset .

- Supervisory or team-lead experience
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Experience in a fast paced customer focused environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent decision making ability and problem solving skills
- Proficiency with computers
- Detail oriented.
- Capable of occasional lifting consistent with retail operations

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: $39,000.00-$44,200.00 per year
