Role Description The Desktop Support Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and related hardware, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, supporting printers and peripheral devices, and performing routine troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
The role involves responding to user support requests,
documenting issues and resolutions, and escalating complex problems when needed.
The Desktop Support
Engineer will also assist with system upgrades, asset inventory, and adherence to company IT policies and security standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Desktop Computers and Computer Hardware, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience providing Technical Support and Troubleshooting for end users in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to deliver effective Printer Support and manage peripherals and basic network connectivity issues.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
- Valuable documentation, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently on-site, and collaborate within a team.
- Relevant technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or similar) is an advantage.
- Previous experience in an IT support or desktop engineering role is preferred.
