Empower vulnerable women and children as a Peer Services Navigator at the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre. Connect individuals to necessary supports amid challenging conditions in Vancouver.
In this permanent full time role, you will assist women facing homelessness, guiding them toward resources and services. Working closely with the Specialized Services Manager, you’ll provide individualized support and ensure women’s needs are prioritized. The role demands efficiency as you navigate a busy environment while applying a feminist perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide women in accessing safety and support services
• Collaborate with various DEWC personnel for integrated services
• Maintain thorough records and scheduling




• Implement assisted referrals to vital community resources
• Employ trauma-informed care practices in your approach
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years' experience with marginalized women
• Understanding of issues like mental health and addiction
• First Aid Certification and NVCI, or intent to obtain
• Excellent organizational skills under pressure
• Familiarity with community resources in the Downtown Eastside
Contribute your skills towards creating supportive environments for women at DEWC in Vancouver.
