Become a vital part of the community at the Dryden Recreation Complex as a Permanent Part Time Lifeguard/Instructor. This position integrates lifeguard responsibilities with teaching swimming and water safety courses.
This role supports the management of the pool while ensuring swimmers' safety during all activities. The instructor component involves teaching essential swimming techniques and leading in water safety for various skill levels. This part time job offers 24 hours weekly with potential for additional hours based on the programming needs of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and monitor swimmers' safety and compliance with rules
• Conduct swimming lessons for both children and adults
• Deliver entry-level leadership courses focusing on rescue training




• Render emergency medical aid in accordance with training
• Collaborate with aquatic team on programming activities
Requirements:
• National Lifeguard certification from Lifesaving Society
• Workplace Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certification
• Be willing to pursue additional Lifesaving Society certifications
• Submit clean Criminal Background/Vulnerable Sector check
• Previous experience in lifeguarding is an asset
