Role Description The Director of Finance and Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Markham, ON. This role oversees all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.

The Director manages the preparation and review of financial statements, monitors cash flow, and supports strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising accounting and operations staff, optimizing internal controls, and improving processes related to billing, procurement, and project cost management.



The Director collaborates closely with senior leadership to align operational performance with business objectives, support compliance with relevant regulations, and contribute to long-term growth and profitability.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Finance and Financial Planning, with the ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
- Strong experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to assess financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actionable operational improvements.
- Proficiency in modern accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Excel or equivalent tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; qualified designation (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Prior leadership experience overseeing finance and operations teams, preferably in consulting, engineering, or professional services environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
