DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS FOR THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF ROCKWOOD The Rural Municipality of Rockwood is seeking a collaborative and experienced leader to join our Senior Management Team as Director of Operations. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Director of Operations provides strategic leadership and direction for the Municipality’s Operations Department. This position is responsible for the management of public works, engineering services, transportation infrastructure, drainage, fleet and equipment maintenance, building maintenance, capital projects, and the efficient delivery of municipal services.

About the Rural Municipality of Rockwood: Located just 26 km north of Winnipeg, the Rural Municipality of Rockwood is a growing and vibrant community in Manitoba’s Interlake Region. The municipality surrounds the Town of Stonewall and the Town of Teulon, and includes the communities of Argyle, Balmoral, Gunton, Komarno, Grosse Isle, and Stony Mountain. and other rural areas. The RM of Rockwood offers residents the perfect balance of rural living with convenient access to urban amenities.

Qualifications Required - Civil Engineering degree or Civil Engineering Technologist certification.

- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience,



preferably in a municipal or public sector environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized office systems.
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge of municipal operations, engineering, public works, and infrastructure management. Desired - Certification in, or willingness to complete, the Manitoba Municipal Administrators Certificate Program.
- Post-secondary education or certification in Business Administration, Management, or related leadership program.
