The KIDO Place of Safety is looking for a Kanawendaakosowinik Caregiver to provide relief support for awaashishag and oshkaadizag. You will engage in daily activities, ensuring the children's needs are met while fostering a nurturing, respectful workplace. This role carries valuable training in KI traditions and life skills.
Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and teach children cooking as life skill • Ensure cleanliness in shared facilities • Supervise children's activities to maintain safety • Communicate rules and ensure they are upheld • Report on shift activities as required
Requirements: • Experience with at-risk children and families • Deep understanding of KI culture and values • First Aid and CRP knowledge essential • Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence is a must • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check needed
